Wow! It's been September since my last post? How do you spell slacker? Oh, I guess I just did!I think I've been reinspired by the 50 degree weather we are experiencing in Iowa right now! And the fact that spring begins on Saturday!
So, we got through Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, a wonderful Mexican Vacation, and now we are into spring break. It's about time I get busy. Well, I've begun. As stated in a previous post, I've begun to experiment with reclaimed tshirts. I'm finding this to be quite fun. Soooo.... many possibilities here! I recently attended a sewing session downtown DM, where several gals got together and rumaged through tshirts and got creative behind the foot pedal of their machines. I plan to attend the exchange they have planned in April. There is sure to be ideas looming on this day. And I must confess... hunting out the cute little odd, lonely tshirts at the thrift stores can be somewhat addicting!
Today I have finally added a few new items to my Etsy site. I am excited about them, as I had so much fun creating them. I think they turned out so cute. Especially the one I originally created for my own little blonde ambition. It reads, SPEAK SLOWLY I'M BLONDE. Well, not only that... but, she's two! So cute and so fitting for her personality. The tops can be worn as a dress, a tunic style shirt or just a top, for older girls. They are sleeveless and have a tie closure. Not to mention the comfort of wearing a tshirt, but a little bit of sass and style to go with it!
